British Lions do their country proud!

March 2009 saw Team Kaizen head off to Germany for the Munich International Open and the Malympex City Challenge. Eight squad members; Rishi Patel, Molly Ullah, Gina Boot, Daniel Smart, Tyrone Briscoe, Marie Anonuevo and Indran Tanabalan, were joined with family members on their way to the Championship.

Kaizen Ryu kids do their club proud...

A small contingent of eight competitors from Kaizen Ryu National Squad took on opposition from Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Holland and the rest of the UK in this year’s Munich European Open Martial Arts Competition.

Gina features in Yellow Advertiser

Squad member Gina Boot who regularly trains in Romford and Dagenham dojo gets featured in Yellow Advertiser (11th March).

Reporting by Suzi Muston "A school girl has been selected to represent the UK to compete in top level karate competition against  a host of European countries. Gina Boot, 11, who belongs to the Kaizen Ryu Karate, in Romford, trains in a variety of disciplines, six days a week, to help her improve her performance. The Frances Bardsley pupil been enjoying the sport since she was just seven and passed her black belt grading last sunday.
