Dagenham Town Show - club's first parade + supporting Mayor's Charities

The Dagenham Town Show is an unforgettable event with entertainment and attractions for all the family. This traditional event has been running since 1952, and is part of the borough's history and identity. This year’s parade theme is ‘The Olympics - the springboard to success in Barking and Dagenham’ and ties in with the exciting run up to London 2012.

Bexley Young People's Sports Awards

On saturday 31st January 2009, young Tyrone Briscoe attended the annual Bexley Young Peoples Sports awards. This event is high on the calendar of events in bexley to celebrate achievements at all levels by the youth in the Borough.
Special guests at this event were double gold commonwealth winner Adam Whitehead and Olympic sprinter Mark Richardson. Tyrone won an award for National Achievements for his contribution to Karate, alongside the weightlifter Zoe smith. He was presented his award by the Mayor of Bexley .
Asked by a reporter how he felt, Tyrone said "he felt proud and special and wanted to thank his instructors and his team mates for their encouragement, and hopes to go on to better things." - review by Tyrone Briscoe Snr
