March 2009 saw Team Kaizen head off to Germany for the Munich International Open and the Malympex City Challenge. Eight squad members; Rishi Patel, Molly Ullah, Gina Boot, Daniel Smart, Tyrone Briscoe, Marie Anonuevo and Indran Tanabalan, were joined with family members on their way to the Championship.

A small contingent of eight competitors from Kaizen Ryu National Squad took on opposition from Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Holland and the rest of the UK in this year’s Munich European Open Martial Arts Competition.

London Youth Games

Bella Ursell a member of the Kaizen Ryu National Squad has been selected as part of a team to represent the London Borough of Newham at this summer's London Youth Games to be held at Crystal Palace.

The Kaizen Cup is an exciting Invitational Karate Tournament bringing together top quality students from around the country.

Divisional winners from this Summer Heat qualify for the Cup Finals later in the year.

The Kaizen Ryu National Squad has been invited back to this year's Malympex 2009 International Open Tournament.

This event will be held at the Kulturzentrum Trudering venue in Munich, Germany. Hosted by Black Belt International and Self Defense Germany.

This weekend long event kick starts with a series of seminars by renowned Martial Artists from around the world.

November 2008....10am.....freezing weather.....but inside the heat was on for the Kaizen Cup Final showdown!

It was a good day for everyone who was there, and was particularly encouraging to see many beginners taking up the challenge! Most of them did very well in their division and one or two even went up a division a did well at that too! Most notable performance on the day came from young Josh Sabiniano, who did an awesome Heian Shodan!

The Kaizen Ryu National Squad picked up 9 Gold Medals from the 6 representing squad members at today's Malympex World Championships in Stoke Mandeville Stadium! Notable performances came from all our competitors.

Molly Ullah totally dominated her kumite and convincingly beat her opponenets in kata, with Bassai Dai, to 2 first places.
