Tea & Biscuits with the Mayor!!

Tea & biscuits at the Mayor's parlour, was a great opportunity to meet the Mayor of Bexleyheath.

Last month some members of the Squad spent an afternoon with the Mayor and his wife, and discussed among others the achievements and aspirations of the Team, and their own hopes and goals. The Mayor was all ears, and is very supportive of young athletes. Whether it's through attendance of sporting events or sponsoring a trophy cup for a championship. 

What is important is to see that the efforts of young athletes are being recognised and noticed. And we hope their stories will inspire others.

At the meeting the Mayor had kindly and generously given little Tyrone an awesome gift! A specially ordered Tokaido Tournament Gi all the way from Japan complete with a personalised name embroidery! A lovely surprise indeed! 

We want to say thank you to the Mayor and his staff at Bexleyheath and to big Tyrone for making this meeting happen, and for making little people feel as big as they deserve to be!
