Awards for Larks to Martial Arts - Bexley News Shopper 4th March 2009

People who have devoted a good part of their lives to the service of the community have been recognised in this year's civic recognition awards.

The winners ranged from people who have given decades of support to charities and voluntary groups through to a 13 year old karate champion and a holiday playscheme.

introducing the awards at last week's Bexley Council meeting, Councillor John Eastaugh said: "It is difficult for us to thank them because they do not do it for thanks. But it is right and proper they get the thanks and recognition they deserve." - Linda Piper reports
